US Arcades secured its newest retail location this week, Adult Video Outlet, in Duncannon, Pennsylvania.
Adult Video Outlet is the 50th retailer to implement the US Arcades platform in just under two years. Adult chain stores featuring the technology include Lion's Den, Romantix and Adult Video Outlet, as well as independent retailers Adult Emporium, Adult Video News, Dahlia's, Mynx Show Palace, Paradise Adult and Taboo.
In 2016, US Arcades set out to address an underserved niche by developing a cutting-edge software system that would advance the adult video arcade market. Identifying the potential for success, US Arcades president and AVN Hall of Fame executive, David Joseph, began strategizing a business model that would introduce new avenues of sustainable growth for both content owners and retailers.
Joseph remarked, “This milestone marks a very special point in time for US Arcades. In 2016, we set the initial goal of securing 50 stores, and began working with our staff and developers relentlessly to provide the most seamless and revolutionary technology for our partners. The video arcade experience may have been perceived as a lost or dying niche, but our remarkable data proves that arcades are very much alive and thriving.”
The business model allows adult retailers and studios to reap the rewards of a previously untapped stream of revenue. And it has garnered enthusiasm from studio frontrunners and store owners alike.
Joseph continued, “Every retailer who runs our state-of-the-art software has experienced a massive upward trajectory, in part due to the incredible amount of content that our content studios are providing. Store owners are seeing more income, studios can enjoy a fresh stream of revenue, and consumers are even more eager to step into an arcade. We knew that our model would be mutually advantageous and revolutionary down to the end user. Hitting our initial goal of 50 locations has us feeling extremely thankful for those who believed in our platform and shared our vision every step of the way.”
In addition to a robust library of award-winning studio content, the platform also features a live cam network, facilitating a modernized, 21st century experience for arcade consumers.
“I am super excited to witness this growth,” said Lewis Adams, VP of sales for US Arcades. “In the three years that I've been with US Arcades, we revamped our business model, re-designed the hardware, expanded the system's capabilities, and installed it in 50 stores throughout 23 states. We see the store revenue going up. We see the studio payouts going up. One of the main reasons why we are installing stores so quickly is because of our road crew. Lance B. and John P. are Ph.D's when it comes to all things arcade. With their help, we plan to have another 50 stores up by this time next year. 2019 is going to finish strong and 2020 is going to be a great year."
