Captain Jack: Tell me about Stephie Staar.

Stephie: I grew up in Reno, Nevada. That's my hometown. I went to a public school and before high school, I was in-and-out of different private schools. It was pretty basic. I had a normal family. I had two sisters and was the middle child. My parents are a little weird. They're extremely open about sex. CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?

Stephie: It's actually kind of a joke. In high school, I was the party girl. I was down for the sex and the drugs and the rock and roll. So when I would drink in high school, my friends who were constantly around me, figured out that I had different personalities when I would drink in varying degrees depending on how drunk I was. If I was getting buzzed, I would get to the point where I spoke in an accent. And it was a horrible English accent and it was extremely slurred and they would call me Madelyn. And as the night would progress along, Madelyn would get drunker and drunker. Then all of a sudden, it would hit a wall to the point where I would black out. I would lose the accent completely and fuck anything in sight. And that was Stephie. And so they would make the joke, 'If you have a heartbeat, sometimes not required, Stephie's on it!' Or 'Stephie's here! Hide your boyfriends ladies!' It was a huge joke. So Stephie was the nickname that they gave that personality and I thought it would be appropriate for porn. And then I took 'Staar' with two a's because I would see everyone with two r's and I figured the most common thing in the English language that is stuttered upon is the 'a' instead of a consonant. So I took Staar because no one else had it.

CJ: So I have to ask, do you still drink and do Madelyn and Stephie still appear?

Stephie: I drank myself to death twice in high school so I'm not a big drinker now. I do occasionally have a drink here and there but I don't get to that point. I don't want a bad hangover the next morning and because of how hard I partied in high school, I don't do that anymore because it kills the next day!

Stephie: I like classic rock mostly. I'll listen to some country as long as it's not too twangy.

CJ: What's your favorite food?

Stephie: It has to be a tie between pudding and beef jerky.

CJ: What kind of pudding?

Stephie: Butterscotch is my favorite but I'll take any kind of pudding.
