Captain Jack: Tell me about Alex Coal.

Alex Coal: I grew up in Las Vegas. I did really well in school. I would say I had a pretty normal childhood.

CJ: How old are you?

Alex: I'm 28.

CJ: How long have you been in the industry?

Alex: I've been shooting mainstream since January of this year and was doing my own thing for 5 years. In February of 2015, I started camming and making my own stuff.

CJ: When did you lose your virginity?

Alex: I was 21.

CJ: Is there a good story behind it?

Alex: I got my first kiss when I was 18 and started dating that guy. Actually, I had been dating him for 7 months. Then we did the whole 'first kiss' thing and we were together for 5 years and he's the person I did all my firsts with.

CJ: All your firsts, vaginal, anal, blowjobs....

Alex: Yup, everything.

CJ: Why did you decide to get into the adult industry?

Alex: My boyfriend, Michael Masters, encouraged me to try porn and find an agent and that sort of thing because I had wanted to do it for a long time but I didn't think that it was a viable idea. It was more of a 'Wouldn't it be cool if I could' type of thing. I got the encouragement and support I needed and jumped right in.

CJ: What changed in January that you got into more mainstream porn and shot for different studios?

Alex: That's just how it worked out. It just worked out that we started in January because I had been looking into it for a few months. I didn't hook up with an agent until January and he started booking me shoots.

CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?

Alex: Alexandra is my legal name. I go by Alex because I don't think I could respond to a name that wasn't mine. I've always been very authentic with my stuff too. My personality is the same off and on camera unless I'm playing a specific role. So there's that. And Coal is actually referencing charcoal because when I first started, I was doing custom artwork for people and I brought that into camming. I would do custom artwork for people while I was on cam and the coal part was referencing charcoal because at the time I was really into charcoal. So that's actually what that one's about. It ties into an important part of my life which is art.

CJ: Do you still draw?

Alex: I want to do that however I don't have a lot of free time. I'm shooting a time and I haven't even had a whole lot of time to cam since I started the porn thing. This year, I'm focusing on porn and getting established then I'll be able to chill out a little bit and take more time for cams and artwork and other hobbies and things I like.

CJ: So what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it's different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?

Alex: Actually, even doing my own stuff, I did full productions with a crew and everything like that. It just depended on who I was shooting with or who I was collaborating with so that wasn't new either. I think the general difference is that I can be hands off with production when I'm shooting mainstream, which is nice. I enjoy productions but it is cool showing up on set and having one job to do instead of doing all the jobs.

CJ: What's your favorite position?

Alex: I'm not sure what it's called but it's basically missionary but with your knees up by your head. That's my favorite.

CJ: For fans that are new to you, what are some of your favorite scenes that you could recommend?

CJ: Are there any performers or directors you would love to work with that you haven't had a chance to yet?

Alex: Tons. I don't even think I could name them all. I want to work with everyone!

CJ: A lot of the guys in porn are older. Does it ever bother you to work with older men?

Alex: Not at all. No. I'm down with anybody as long as they're cool people then I don't really care. I think Tommy Gunn is the oldest person I've worked with and he's in his late 50s. We had a great time and he's wonderful. And I've worked with young guys too. I generally prefer older guys to younger guys because older guys are more chill. Younger guys tend to have a bigger ego.

CJ: What do you like sexually? What gets Alex wet?

Alex: My only real turnoffs are egos and cockiness and bad hygiene. So that's it for the turnoffs. So the turn-ons would be the opposite of that...well groomed, polite and into the scene and into working with me. He's also professional and doesn't expect me to come when he calls or whatever. I'm generally a pretty fucking happy person. I don't really have a type. There's no specific 'if you tickle behind my ear with the third finger of your right hand, I'm immediately wet...', I've never understood that. It's more of a vibe.

CJ: Are you submissive or dominant?

Alex: I'm really neither but if I had to lean towards one, it's dominant. I'm pretty cool with being equal. I'm not crazy on the labels. Some people think I'm subby and then they'll talk down to me. And that pisses me off. Even if I was subby, I'm not 'yours' and I'm not into the idea of belonging to anyone. I think I would be more dominant but I don't really even like calling myself dominant because you have people saying, 'Oh, if you're dominant, why are you getting fucked?' It's because I enjoy fucking and being dominant means I do what I want to do.

CJ: Did you watch porn before you got into the industry?

Alex: Yes, I mainly enjoyed things like Kink.com's Bound Gangbangs and I moved from that to Hentai. So now when I watch porn, it's mainly Hentai.

CJ: When a guy pops, where do you prefer it?

Alex: It depends on the person and the situation. Usually, I prefer it in my mouth because everyone tastes different. That's the fun part in figuring it out.

Alex: Yes I do.

Alex: Train to Busan is a really great movie. It's a zombie movie. The best zombie movie that I've ever seen!

Alex: Lucifer is fun; Supernatural is fun...I don't watch a whole lot of TV. Rick and Morty too.

CJ: What's your favorite food?
